Hauptschule (=Secondary School) Peissenberg, Modernisation and Extension

The as-built survey captured the construction geometry, that means the visible and accessible surfaces of the building and its elements. The choice of measurements tools and measurement methods were not determined. However the required quality had to be ensured in economic terms.
The building with all its floor plans, sections and views had to be documented according to architectural requirements and should serve as basis for the execution planning. The documentation of the measurement results should be done with a suitable CAD software.

We took over the as-built-documentation of the architecture in 2010 and used our 3D laser scanner HDS6100. This state-of-the-art measuring methods allowed us to make a complete 3D survey of all visible construction parts. The surveying was done completely with connection to the Federal Coordinate System and height connection in meters over Normal-Null.

The individual scans were registered by the tachimetrically defined targets and transformed to the target coordinate system. For the creation of the overall point cloud and for the communication with CAD the LFM software was used. For viewing the scans and for different functionalities like measuring, gripping of coordinates and inserting text, the scans were provided for the viewer TruView from Leica. This viewer is free of charge and available for many work stations. Thus the scans can be used as means of communication for all involved person in the planning phase. more...

As result we created, apart from the required 2D floor plans, a 3D model of the school. This is the optimal medium during the planning phase to avoid later, predictable re-designs and offers the possibility of visualisation for the decision-making body. The processing of the as-built data was done with the software SpeedikonArchitektur on basis of the CAD software MicroStation. We inserted this information from the overall point clouds to a structured 3D model. On basis of the model data the 2D data for the five floor plans of all floors, 5 sections according to the requirements and 4 views were created and handed over on schedule. The export of the MicroStation data was to AutoCad2007/2008 with the corresponding modification in DWG and DXF format. Additionally all plans were created in PDF format. more...

About Hauptschule Peissenberg

Approx. 420 pupils and approx. 30 teachers are visiting the Josef-Zerhoch-Hauptschule in Upper Bavarain Peissenberg in the district Weilheim/Schongau.
In September and October 2010 the extension and modernisation of the complete building from the basement floor to the third floor started.
